Darlington Lions Club makes grants to charities, community groups and sports clubs and individuals. 90% is given to individuals and organisations which help improve the lives of people living in and around Darlington in the North East of England.
Last year we donated a total of £32,447 to 26 organisations.
We provide practical help for our community. Every year we organise a Christmas party for older people and provide Christmas food parcels for local people in need. Some of our members accompany mums and kids from the local women’s refuge on a trip to a theme park. We make regular grants to a local foodbank.
Darlington Lions Club has been active in the town since 1961, raising money from its charity bookshop to support local people.
