Swim with us this month - every stroke protects the magnificent creatures and wild beauties of Cyprus' seas.
About us
The Cyprus Environment Foundation (CEF) aims is a non-for-profit organization with the aim to protect and enhance the natural beauty, biodiversity and ecosystems of Cyprus.
CEF supports projects that protect the local biodiversity, reduce and prevent waste and enhance land regeneration among others.

The organization achieves its aim by raising funds from people and businesses with strong connections to the island and distributes the funds to the best local initiatives working to protect and regenerate the natural environment of Cyprus.
How the funds will be used
Funds raised will power CEF's frontline work to protect Cyprus' seas and the communities that depend on them. From tagging campaigns for the critically endangered guitarfish to hands-on conservation of the island's marine protected areas, every contribution goes directly to safeguarding the species and habitats most at risk.

Funds also support a growing movement of Ocean Stewards - empowering local fishers, youth and communities with the tools and knowledge to protect the sea. Beyond that, culinary events and chef trainings tackle invasive alien species by promoting their consumption, while plastic-free beach initiatives drive the shift away from single-use plastics across the island.
