Aim

We will be running, cycling, walking etc the length of the world's five longest rivers, totalling 31,339 km, to raise money for River Action

WHAT WE'RE DOING
Over the course of one year, members of the C&TH team will be running, walking, cycling, rowing (or some other kind of physical activity) the length of the world's five longest rivers, totalling 31,339km, to raise money for River Action UK.

WHO FOR
River Action is a UK charity founded in February 2021 that campaigns for action from government and industry to address the river pollution crisis and to support the delivery of solutions.

WHY RIVER ACTION? 
The organisation formed in response to concerning evidence that reveals the declining state of many of the UK’s rivers from agriculture, sewage and other sources of pollution. Currently, every single river in England is polluted beyond legal limits. Since launching, River Action has been developing its positively disruptive approach to delivering impactful campaigns. Their systemic work includes developing advocacy and legal actions to ensure the UK Government funds and regulates rivers, and engaging heads of industry to clean up agricultural and food supply-chain pollution.

OUR AIM 
C&TH wants to raise awareness of this issue and support River Action in their goal of making every UK river clean again - for all of us. We are all in peril if our can't keep our waterways unpolluted.
