I was affected by a medicine: Sodium Valproate; that my mother took for epilepsy when she was pregnant with me. Like all teratogens, it crossed the placenta to affect me, the developing baby. I have multiple chronic and complex health problems. Some are communication problems such as learning disabilities, poor language memory, and severe hearing loss. I also have hypermobility spectrum disorder, which affects me in many ways, including arthritis, sensitive digestive system, joints pop etc. Please look at the attached film diary to learn more about me and my walk.

We experience all types of challenges regarding our education, care, support, emotional and social support. In many instances, all members of the family are disabled and carers. This means that we are not acknowledged and can even find life much more difficult because very few people recognise the problems within our family units.
