Why We’re Here

Every year, millions of swimsuits end up in landfill or are incinerated, polluting our planet and wasting precious resources. That's the same annual carbon emissions as Madrid! Traditional swimwear is made from blended materials that can’t be separated cost-effectively for recycling — until now.

That’s why we created CIRC-SUIT:  the world’s first fully recyclable swimsuit, designed to keep swimwear out of landfill forever.

Our vision? To build a truly circular future for swimwear and eventually for all stretch fabrics, where every garment is designed for durability, then easily recycled into something new at the end of its life.

I’m Jo Godden, founder of RubyMoon, the original sustainable swimwear company launched in 2010.

When I saw photos of mountains of discarded clothing piling up in landfills across the developing world, I knew I had to act. For five years, I’ve worked with university researchers, engineers, and innovators to pioneer a low-carbon, closed-loop recycling technology.                                                   

This groundbreaking method means CIRC-SUIT can be recycled locally and no trims to remove, no linings to cut out — keeping fashion out of landfill and in circulation where it belongs.

What Makes CIRC-SUIT Different?
