Christmas in a Box

Fantastic news! 

Thanks to the amazing support of individuals, families, groups and businesses we have already reached our target of £25,000 with 9 more days left to run of the crowdfunding campaign. This is happening! 

You have funded 2,500 boxes to support 2,500 Plymouth families. Each box will provide all the fresh ingredients and store-cupboard essentials needed to feed a family of 4 this Christmas. 

Gifts from the community to support the community during this difficult year. 

Chef Nat Tallents and her team from Fosters Event Catering are really busy sourcing all the ingredients and are getting some great deals and generous offers from suppliers such as Trewithen Dairy. 

We've had lots of offers of support to help pack and distribute the boxes and our partners are helping us to draw up the distribution list. 

Every single donation has counted towards this target, but we are not done yet. Let's create a legacy that carries on beyond Christmas Day. With 9 more days of the crowdfunding appeal left to run we are pushing ahead to raise another £5,000 to help feed families in need. 

50% of this extra funding will be donated to the Plymouth Food Bank, who feed local people all through the year. 50% will be used by The Box to feed families who are targeted through community outreach engagement activities, so they can enjoy a visit to The Box, including a delicious meal prepared for them by Nat and the team at The Box Kitchen & Bar.
