Chris Chapman is fundraising for
POLKERRIS SCOUT GROUP
Charity No. 301032

£545
This November I am running the Cornish Marathon, and am raising money for the Polkerris Scout Group Activities and Equipment Fund.
I do quite a lot of running, so to make it more of a challenge I'm aiming to complete in 3.5 hours. It's quite a challenging course, up on Bodmin Moor, so will require a fair amount of training, and probably some luck with the weather on the day! Here's a pic of me running:
Polkerris Scout Group
Polkerris is a fantastic Scout Group near to where we live, based in Tywardreath village and on Polkerris Beach. They're currently raising funds to purchase new equipment for scouting activities, including water sports (canoeing, paddle boarding, sailing etc), camping, and hiking. The burden of costly property maintenance has been a continued drain on their resources over the last couple of years, so I wanted to help them get some money to pay for more of the fun, skills-for-life, inspiring stuff which scouts is all about. I benefited hugely from scouts, so know how much of a difference it can make to the development of young people. Here's a picture of me with a hiking trophy for proof, which is probably worth your donation on it's own:
Thank you for any donations, all very welcome and greatly appreciated by me and Polkerris Scout Group x
