Chester Marathon 2024

Aim

Raising money in memory of my nephew Boe Donovan for the Oliver King Foundation.

In January of this year my beautiful nephew Boe was tragically taken from us.  It’s hard to put it into words and words would be deficient in the face of such unfairness. But he lives on through our precious memories and it was such a joy to have had him for these three years.   

Boe’s childcare setting wish to purchase a defibrillator as part of their first aid equipment for the safety of all current and future children who attend. Hopefully, it will never be needed. But having access to this vital equipment, will offer huge peace of mind and can save lives.

Having access to a defibrillator drastically increases the chance of surviving a cardiac arrest. 

Defibrillators are provided to schools in England, but not early years childcare, which is why we are fundraising.

Boe loved going to his childcare setting and spending time with all of his little friends and caregivers there. They felt more like family than friends.

If Boe were still here today, he’d still be enjoying his fun-filled days there.

To help raise these funds for this lifesaving defibrillator myself and Simon are going to run the Chester Marathon on 6th October 2024.
