ROAD TO £30K £30,000 – A new van with a warrantyReaching this stretch goal would mea...
Without a van it's becoming harder to run our inclusive skate sessions. Help us raise funds so we can reach more communities.
Scorcha Skate School is a collective of individuals bringing an holistic approach to action sport, while bringing people together through skateboarding. We offer a wide variety of Workshops, Lessons and events across the UK. With our goal of making skateboarding more accessible and inclusive
To support our mission of making skateboarding more accessible and inclusive, we launched “Bun Hate, Let’s Skate”, a community event series that brings skateboarding sessions to people who may not otherwise have access to lessons or skateparks.
Using skateboarding as our driving force to push our message of equality and inclusion.

Help Scorcha Skate School get back on the road !
We are in URGENT need of help, as the van we are currently operating out of has irreparable damage to the engine. As we are a small grassroots business, that also offers our time and resources for free to the community through events, workshops etc. At present, we do not have the capital to invest in a new van. Access to a reliable vehicle is crucial for transporting equipment and delivering workshops and community skate sessions across the UK. Without it, continuing this work becomes significantly more challenging.
For years, Scorcha Skate School has been delivering free and affordable skate sessions to young people across the community creating a safe, positive space where youth can learn new skills, build confidence, and connect with others.
But behind the scenes, getting to those sessions hasn’t been easy.
Founder Kane and the team rely on a van to transport ramps, boards, safety equipment and everything needed to run sessions. Over the past few years, several second-hand vans have broken down, costing time, money, and sometimes even sessions for the young people who rely on them.
Now it’s time for a more reliable solution.
We’re launching this crowdfunder to raise £15,000 as a minimum towards a newer, more dependable van that can safely carry the heavy equipment Scorcha needs to keep running sessions across Thanet/Kent and other regions of the UK. A brand-new van could cost £30,000+, so every contribution helps get us closer to a vehicle that will keep the team on the road for years to come.
What this could look like:
🚐 £15,000 – A reliable second-hand van
This would allow us to purchase a dependable used van so we can safely transport ramps, boards and equipment and continue delivering sessions across the region.
🚐 £30,000 – A new van with a warranty
Reaching this stretch goal would mean we could invest in a brand-new vehicle with a guarantee, giving the team long-term reliability and keeping Scorcha on the road for years to come.
By supporting this campaign, you’re not just helping buy a van - you’re helping Scorcha Skate School continue to support young people, grow the local skate community, and keep these vital sessions rolling.
So let’s get Scorcha and Bun Hate, Lets skate back on the road.

ALL FUNDS raised will be used to purchase a vehicle that is reliable and able to carry our equipment to sessions, schools, festivals and events. We need something with the capability of also transporting our mobile skatepark, so we can make skateboarding more accessible to areas that don't have free skateparks. Inspiring young people to get outside, stay active, and have pride in their community.
In return, we will deliver a series of free community skateboarding activations across Thanet and Kent over the coming year. These may include events, lessons, workshops, and pop-up sessions designed to make skateboarding more accessible.
If we reach our target of £15k then we will be purchasing an approved used vehicle. In the instance that we reach our target, we will aim for our stretch target of £20k. This would give us more options and choice, but if we was to overfund and reach £30k + then we would be looking to purchase a brand new van! Something that could last us, and keep us going for years to come.
Scorcha Skate School and Bun Hate, Let's Skate CIC work in cohesion to have a positive impact on the community in a multitude of ways. Using skateboarding as our driving force to create equality, inclusion and accessibility. We run community session, we work with schools, youth clubs, festivals, & councils delivering a variety of workshops to connect young people/adults with sports with a more holistic approach. We have also ran multiple adaptive SEN sessions for local organisations.
So without your help, we won't be able to continue our work and efforts to make a real difference.
