Our aim is to revitalise the beloved charity shop in Stoke Village, Plymouth, by raising £10,000 for the refit and building works required.
Help Jeremiah's Journey Revitalise a Beloved Community Shop!
For over 30 years, a charity shop in Stoke Village, Plymouth, has been a cornerstone of the community. It's been a place to find treasures, connect local people as well as raise charitable funds.
Recently Cancer Research UK closed the shop after deciding it wasn’t financially viable for them. For a small charity like us £10,000 - £12,000 a year profit is a fantastic opportunity. These would be vital funds to keep our charity financially sustainable.
Jeremiah's Journey is stepping in to breathe new life into this essential space, and we need your help! We're aiming to raise £10,000 to completely refit the shop, transforming it into a vibrant, welcoming centre that's so much more than just a place to find a bargain.
Why This Shop Matters
This isn't just about a building; it's about people and community:
What Your Donation Will Achieve
The shop is now a bare carcass, with significant dilapidations requiring essential works to meet a standard that is fit for purpose. Our goal is to get the shop up and running again, ready for it's relaunch as our only Jeremiah's Journey Charity Shop!
In its current state it isn’t meeting building standards / regulations.
Your generous donations towards our target of £10,000 will allow us to:
Great Support Already
We already have some tradesmen offering their time for free and a very helpful landlord, however, we need the funding to cover the costs of the materials, new flooring, new fascia, new shop front and ramp access. In addition to needing all the elements to be able to trade, including items such as; a till, steamer, hangers, shop fittings and all the necessary retail stationary.
Help us turn this empty space back into a thriving community asset once more. Every pound you contribute will make a tangible difference, not only in revitalising a beloved local charity shop, but also in supporting Jeremiah's Journey's crucial work with bereaved children and families locally.
Please donate today and share our campaign with your friends, family, and networks. Together, we can bring this essential community hub back to life!
