Harry Wellington is fundraising for
Frontline Partnership Ltd
Charity No. 1099813

£2,350
Frontline offers community-based experiences specifically to people with a learning disability and high support needs who are at risk of being excluded from many of the simple pleasures and experiences of everyday life. A vital part of Frontline's role is building acceptance and inclusion for everybody and seeking to develop and nurture a culture that takes community inclusion for granted.
Managing the team has opened my eyes to the unfortunate hurdles to be overcome in securing funding for our football team to run. This did does not sit right with me given my first-hand experience of just how dramatically this changes the lives of our guys for the better, especially considering the relatively small amounts required. My passionate belief that funding should be readily available, and the contrasting reality of the ridiculously convoluted landscape to be navigated inspires me to do whatever I can.
Subsequently, much to the dissatisfaction of my legs I have decided to again run a Half Marathon, this time in hilly Brentwood! As last year, there will be no training… I am anticipating this being truly dreadful, hopefully that is worth a few extra £!
I appreciate times are relatively tighter than usual, but fundamental human and social connection is something we are privileged to be abundantly wealthy in and so often take for granted. Sadly, this is not a given for my guys, particularly in light of some recent funding complications, so please do give what you can - even a little really does go a long way!
