Help us buy a yurt for our forest school: a year-round hub for children’s wellbeing, nature connection and mindfulness.
Meet Us

I’m Kate, the Managing Director of Branches Out Forest School. I’m an experienced forest school leader, and a mother, who believes deeply that children thrive when they feel safe, active and connected to nature. Our small, passionate team of educators and caregivers work closely with families who are seeking a different kind of education — one that values the whole individual child and maximises active time spent outdoors. Nature connection and movement is at the heart of everything we do. Through child-led exploration, practical skills, storytelling, creative play, age-appropriate yoga, balance and coordination games, and mindfulness, we nurture confidence, resilience, physical development and a strong sense of belonging.
Our Impact
In 2025, we delivered;

Our Vision
We see a growing need among children who are experiencing anxiety, lack of social connection and challenges with wellbeing.
Our vision is to create an inclusive, nature-based wellbeing and activity hub — a place where every child feels welcome, regulated and inspired, whatever their background or circumstances.

Our Plan
The yurt will become the heart of our site: a warm, sheltered, year-round base for group learning, yoga, mindfulness and creative workshops.
Funds raised will go directly towards purchasing and installing the yurt, groundwork, flooring, safe heating and simple furnishings. This will allow us to expand subsidised and fully funded places for families who need them most, ensuring nature-based wellbeing remains accessible for years to come.
Thank you for sharing our vision and supporting our cause.
