4th September 2015Statue now 96% funded!
Another day, another milestone! After a very generous donation last night we are now 96% funded! We now have only £1778 to raise to make the statue a reality next year!
It looks like we are going to easily smash our target, so this is good time to tell about our "stretch goals". Stretch goals are the plans we have if we make over our initial target. Our plan is to create a memorial garden to place the statue in, and any extra money we make will go towards improving this garden. Nicer stone work and paving, better seating areas and other features like metal lighting bolts sunk into the ground around the base of the statue.
Any additional money will go towards things like this, to make the garden suitably grand for the legend that will be placed there.
We are so close now, but don't get lazy! Keep spreading the word and telling people about the project.
