Our Food Projects provide affordable/free food, fight food waste and support community cooking skills, in the continuing poverty crisis.
Bodmin Way - Community Food Projects
Help us ensure no one in our community has to choose between heating and eating.
Since March 2022, hundreds of local people using our Community Larder and food projects have faced impossible choices:
Heat their homes. Eat well. Pay an unexpected bill.
They have no flexibility in their food budget. Many go without fresh produce or enough food to last the week.
Our vision
We believe everyone deserves access to nutritious, fresh, and healthy food every day.
To make this happen, we focus on:
- Wellbeing activities that build resilience and connection
- Crisis support when people need it most
- Supportive networks to reduce isolation and boost confidence
We run low-cost, high-impact projects supported by generous local partnerships and incredible volunteers.
What we do
- Partner with Fareshare, Gleaning Cornwall, Feeding Britain & Neighbourly to source free or discounted food
- Offer membership: just £5 per year, plus £4 per store/frozen food bag and £1 for fresh fruit/veg
- Serve free cooked meals twice a week at our Community Cuppa
- Run Community Cook-Up sessions teaching low-cost, nutritious cooking
- Divert over 38 tonnes of food from landfill annually
But we need your help
Donations and fundraising keep these projects alive.

- Cover staff costs and venue hire
- Ensure we can operate for the next two years
In 2024 alone, we recorded 3,820 visits to our Larder—supporting an estimated 1,000 people.
Together, we can keep cupboards full, people healthy, and our community connected.
