Support the National 'Big Paddle Cleanup' – Protect Our Blue Spaces!

Do you love spending time by rivers, canals, and waterways? Whether it’s for a walk, run, cycle, or paddle, blue spaces are great for the body and mind.

However, plastic waste, much of which ends up in our oceans, is damaging these special nature-rich places.

We need your help to protect them!

Empowering communities

Paddle UK is leading the charge against plastic pollution through the Big Paddle Cleanup. 

The initiative empowers volunteers, community groups, and paddlers to take action and clean up our waterways.

Since its launch in 2022, the campaign has removed over 14,000 plastic bottles from rivers, canals, lakes and coastlines.

Every year Paddle UK and its members invest into making the Big Paddle Cleanup a reality. Taking part helps foster greater community pride and empowerment.

But we want to do more and we would love your support.

Protecting blue spaces

With your donation, we aim to equip 500 community groups with cleanup kits, doubling last year’s efforts. 

A kit for 15 volunteers costs just £65, and with your help, we can make this happen.

However, whether you donate £1 or more, it doesn't matter. Every single pound donated will make a difference and will contribute to the grand total helping us do more to cleanup our precious blue spaces.

We also want to host Big Paddle Cleanup On Tour events in towns and cities, providing opportunities for those without access to crafts and equipment to get involved. 

Each event will have 40 places for participants, costing approximately £40 per person.

Healthier environment 

Our goal is to raise £50,000 through crowdfunding to expand our efforts in 2025 and become a nationwide campaign. 

This will help ensure more people are equipped to protect their local blue spaces from plastic pollution.
