Install two Outdoor Hand Wash Stations to help promote healthy hygiene habits during outdoor play and learning.
Beaminster Preschool Charity Ltd. is a not‑for‑profit, forestry‑inspired early years setting in the heart of West Dorset, offering children a rich, nature‑led start to their learning. Rooted in outdoor education and community values, the preschool provides a nurturing environment where curiosity, confidence and independence can flourish. Its commitment to high‑quality early years practice has been recognised at the very highest level, with Ofsted awarding the setting an Outstanding grade. As a charity, every resource is reinvested directly into the children’s experiences, ensuring a warm, inclusive and inspiring place for local families.
Children at Beaminster Preschool Charity Ltd. thrive in a forestry‑school environment where mud, rain, fresh air and hands‑on exploration are part of everyday learning. As they climb, dig, splash and investigate the natural world, they build confidence, resilience and a deep connection to the outdoors. Getting dirty isn’t a drawback — it’s a vital part of their development — but it also creates meaningful opportunities to teach hygiene, self‑care and responsibility.
With so much outdoor discovery, the preschool is developing dedicated outdoor wash stations to help children learn healthy habits in real time: washing hands after muddy play, cleaning tools, and understanding how good hygiene helps keep everyone well. These stations support both independence and wellbeing, reducing illness risk while reinforcing the preschool’s commitment to nurturing capable, confident young learners who care for themselves, each other and their environment.
