Batley Lights Switch-On - Can You Help?

Batley Business Association is aiming to raise £1500 to provide a stage for this year's Christmas Lights Switch-on Event on the 1st December

Batley's Christmas Lights Switch-on is not a Kirklees led event but is brought to life by the dedicated team at the Batley Business Association, providing the community and our children with an annual event to herald in the Christmas spirit and the town's Christmas Lights switch on.

As usual Santa's Grotto will be here where Santa will be waiting to hear what wonderful presents he needs to deliver on Christmas Day.

We have some wonderful local stalls holders ready to dazzle you with their amazing produce and presents and a fantastic fun-fair filled with rides and stalls for all the family. Then we have the grand Switch-on of the lights followed by a fabulous firework display to round off the event.

BUT WE NEED YOUR HELP!

In the past everything we needed to bring this wonderful event to life has been fully funded by a Councillors Ward Funding Grant , but we don't need to tell you that like many areas of England our local councils budgets are heavily deplete. We have managed to secure some funding to bring you all of the above, and we also have some wonderful local talent ready to entertain you as we have done in past events. Unfortunately, we have not been able to stretch our funding to provide them with a stage so they can perform to you in a safe and secure environment.

The BBA is looking to raise £1500 through this crowdfunding to provide a stage, PA and lights to enable us to bring you this magnificent line-up of entertainers

We know times are hard and we are all feeling the pinch, that's why BBA are looking at crowd funding to help with this final piece of our event jigsaw. We know many of you will hopefully be joining us on the 1st December, so if you can donate anything from missing that cheeky Mc treat or frothy coffee over the next few weeks, we promise we will do our best to bring you an event worthy for the people of Batley and our surrounding area.
