I can't thank all of you enough for your support, thank-you.
The crowdfunding campaign has been a rollercoaster of energy and anxiety, but to now see us at a point of preparing to launch is at times, unbelievable.
The launch campaign closed on Monday and took us to £4,255 🤩. It was the most exciting few hours as a flurry of supporters came on board, where we had featured in a couple of newsletters. The ability to donate is still live and the last few days have continued to climb to a staggering £4,545 as of this morning. The graph shows the journey!
So we will be going to print, and the last versions and proofs for the map are now underway. Massive thank you to Ellie Shipman, who has and is such a pleasure to work with, and DennisMaps in Frome who will be preparing test prints over the next few weeks. We have had to adjust elements of how we technically print the map balanced with production costs, which means our price point will now be lower and a subscription to more walks will be sold separately. But don't worry, those of you who have ordered a map via the launch campaign will still have a subscription 💝! It is a delicate process of production cost v what we can realistically sell the map for to ensure we maximise profits to Mentoring Plus and Off the Record.
Our timeline to complete and publish will likely now be in August and I'll be in touch with those of you who have ordered a map through your donation with details of how to collect.
The map has it's first stockist in Bath, Mr B's bookshop in John Street, in the heart of Bath which is exceptionally exciting news, the map will also be available online at bath5kmap.org and I'll let you all know when we are ready!
More news soon, and in the meantime prepare to walk!
