Help Longfleet FC Down Syndrome football teams travel to tournaments; building confidence, friendships and unforgettable football memories.
At Longfleet FC Down syndrome football programme, we believe football is for everyone. Our DS players within our three age groups, show incredible passion, determination, and teamwork every time they step onto the pitch, but for many of them, opportunities to travel and compete in tournaments are limited.
This fundraiser aims to change that.
We are raising money to give our teams the chance to experience away tournaments - creating unforgettable memories, building confidence, and allowing our players to showcase their abilities on a bigger stage.
These trips are about more than football; they’re about independence, friendship, and being part of something truly special. This applies to not just the players, but to the coaches, volunteers and parents too!
Opportunities in the local area are very few due to the impairment specific nature of our DS football programme, therefore, in order to play against other Down syndrome football teams we simply have to travel quite some distance.
Every donation will help cover travel, tournament, kit and equipment costs, ensuring that every player has the opportunity to take part, regardless of financial barriers.
Our DS Lions adult team recently attended their first ever tournament in over 10 years, travelling from Poole to Fulham FC! This single trip used up our entire £1,000 programme budget, so we now need to raise vital funds to keep giving our players these incredible opportunities and making their dreams a reality. Seeing how much the trip meant to everyone was quite overwhelming and we want to repeat this experience for all involved.
With your support, we can give our DS teams the opportunity to take part in away tournaments - meeting new teams, exploring new places, and representing Longfleet with pride.
