The Anstruther Harbour Festival and Muster is an annual event which celebrates the maritime heritage of Anstruther, a small coastal town in the East Neuk of Fife. It's a festival for all the family that also brings the local community and visitors together during a fantastic weekend with music, dance and lots of different activities for people of all ages to enjoy.
It regularly attracts thousands to the town and surrounding area and our team of volunteers are currently working hard to make the 2025 event (Friday 30th May - Sunday 1st June) another enjoyable and memorable weekend for all involved.
A wide variety of entertainment and activities for all the family is being planned, including a marketplace of local food & drink and craft stalls, lots of local talent performing on the live music stage, a family ceilidh, traditional music & dance, sea shanty workshops, storytelling and the Muster and model boat displays
Putting on a great festival requires a lot of hard work and money – costing over £30,000 to manage the event safely in recent years – and some of the funding the festival has received in the past is no longer available. We now need to raise enough money to keep the 2025 event going as planned.
We want to keep most of the festival free of charge and this has been made possible in previous years through generous sponsorship, advertising and grants. None of this money is ever guaranteed and current funding applications won’t cover our costs, even if they are all successful.
The Trust is now seeking your help through this crowdfunding campaign to cover costs such as the hire of equipment, stage, marquee, toilets and barriers, insurances, licences and advertising.
Any support you can give now will be invaluable for ensuring the continued success of the festival. All donations received will contribute directly to the cost of the 2025 event and the more we can raise via crowdfunding the more sustainable we become, so you could really help us future-proof the festival for many years to come too!
