24 Hour Skate Fundraiser: From 9am, 30 May, our community skates 24 hours to raise vital funds for EXIST Skatepark.
Who are we?
EXIST Skatepark is a community-driven skatepark in Swansea, built to make skateboarding more inclusive, accessible, and welcoming to everyone. We’re more than just a place to skate, we’re a hub for creativity, wellbeing, and connection. From beginners to experienced riders, we provide a safe and supportive environment where people can build confidence, learn new skills, and be part of something bigger.
Why are we crowdfunding?
We’re raising funds to support the future of EXIST Skatepark and keep our doors open for the community that makes EXIST what it is. As much as the community relies on us, we rely on them too. As an independent space, ongoing costs like maintenance, equipment, and programming continue to grow.
During our recent renovations, we also faced a number of unforeseen costs that weren’t covered by our original funding. These unexpected expenses have put additional pressure on our resources, making community support more important than ever.
Our 24 Hour Skate Fundraiser is about coming together, staff, skaters, and supporters, to raise vital funds and give back to the space we all share. The money raised will help us improve the park, expand our sessions, and continue offering inclusive opportunities for all.
With your support, we can keep developing EXIST as a space that supports wellbeing, creativity, and community connection for years to come.
How we’ll spend the money raised
We’re committed to being transparent about where your support goes and how it will directly benefit EXIST Skatepark:
- Unforeseen renovation costs – covering unexpected expenses from our recent redevelopment
- Park maintenance & repairs – keeping ramps, surfaces, and features safe and skateable
- Equipment & upgrades – improving the overall experience for all users
- Community programmes – supporting lessons, workshops, and inclusive sessions
- Operational costs – helping us keep the space open, staffed, and accessible
Every pound raised will go back into sustaining and improving EXIST, ensuring it continues to serve the community now and into the future.
Community impact
EXIST plays a vital role in the local community. We provide a safe, inclusive space for young people and adults alike, supporting physical activity, mental wellbeing, and social connection.
Our sessions are designed to break down barriers in skateboarding, particularly for underrepresented groups, and we regularly collaborate with local organisations to deliver workshops, events, and creative projects. EXIST is not just a skatepark, it’s a space where community thrives.

There are four simple ways to help us reach our target, and make this project a reality.
