Swimming has been part of my life for years now and this is one of the most meaningful challenges I’ve taken on. My aim is to raise $500.00.
I’m taking part in the Go Overboard Albania to Corfu Swim — a challenging open-water crossing of the Ionian Sea — to raise funds for marine conservation projects protecting one of Europe’s most fragile coastal environments.
Ocean swimming has been part of my routine for years, especially early morning swims with our local group, and this crossing felt like the right opportunity to turn something I enjoy into something that gives back.
The Ionian Sea is home to endangered Mediterranean monk seals, dolphins, sea turtles and important Posidonia seagrass meadows that play a critical role in supporting marine life and storing carbon. Funds raised from this swim help support local conservation programs working directly to protect these species and habitats.
Preparing for the crossing means months of early starts, cold water sessions and long-distance training. Having a strong swim community around me makes the challenge possible — and knowing the effort contributes to protecting the ocean makes it even more worthwhile.
If you’re able to support me, even a small contribution makes a real difference. Your donation helps fund marine wildlife protection, habitat restoration and community-based conservation projects across the Ionian region.
Thank you for helping turn this swim into something bigger than just getting from one coastline to another.
Every donation counts — and sharing the page helps just as much 🌊🏊🏼♂️🐬
