To ensure our adapted cycling sessions are as inclusive as possible we need to expand our range of adapted cycles.

We're still collecting donations

On the 28th July 2024 we'd raised £762 with 37 supporters in 105 days. But as every pound matters, we're continuing to collect donations from supporters.

Who are we?

We are The Cornwall Bicycle Project CIC Profits from our activities provide cycling equipment and cycling opportunities to all, with a particular focus on reaching those from disadvantaged backgrounds in Cornwall.

We believe that everyone deserves a chance to have a cycling journey whether it is for transport, physical & mental health, socialising, competing or just being able to discover the enjoyment that riding a bike can bring.

We provide inclusive cycling lessons, courses and events in Cornwall. Including regular social rides, educational programmes for all ages: Bikeability, Learn to Ride; Confidence / skills booster sessions, Mountain Biking, Race Events, Learn to Fix Sessions and Adapted Cycling!

We are excited to be partnered with the British Cycling's LIMITLESS Programme and Wheels for All, Parkinson's Excellence Network and work alongside many NHS social prescribers and local community groups.

Our organization's dedication to inclusivity and partnerships reflects a commitment to enhancing the well-being of the community through the transformative power of cycling.

Why are we crowdfunding?

We have  small range of adapted cycles but to ensure our sessions are even more inclusive and can provide opportunity for as many people as possible to ride a bike we need to expand our range of bikes and trikes so that all ages and abilities can ride and  discover the joy that riding a bike can bring.

Community impact

Once riders have gained confidence and found a cycle to fit the individual we are able to progress to even more cycling adventures in our local areas. Exploring trails, seeing new places and making new friends.

How you can play your part

There are four simple ways to help us reach our target, and make this project a reality.

1. Make a pledge. Don’t delay if you’re going to support us because momentum is key to our success!

2. Spread the word. Share our project on your social media pages and tell the world to get behind us! The more people we reach, the more support we will get.

3. Offer rewards. Get involved if you are a local business by donating things we can offer to our supporters. We will give you a shout out!

4. Fundraise for us. If you want to run your own fundraiser – maybe a sponsored activity or similar – use the 'contact project' button at the top of our page to let us know. Setting up your own page only takes a few minutes and you won’t need any bank details. Just a fun idea!
