Aim
We aim to provide stimulating activity packs for all the members that attend the Day Centre and all the groups we run.
What we do at Abbeyview
Abbeyview Day Centre is a Charity that supports the elderly and vulnerable in the local and out with the community. We provide Day Care 5 days a week providing transport to and from the building, recreational activities as well as a 3-course lunch and all care throughout the day, this can provide much needed respite for and from Carers. We have over 100 members that use Day Care.

We also run 2 other services:
A Dementia Café that runs twice a week supporting carer and member, giving information, stimulation and also structure and support. The Dementia Café supports 48 members over two days.
The K.I.T. Club that has been set up for members that don’t meet the criteria for Day Care but are in need of some social interaction in a safe environment. This service is very much for the members and what they want to achieve when attending. This group is run over two days and we have capacity for 20 members on each day.
Our plans
We would love to be able to make up some activity packs that the members can do at home, for example a seeds pot and compost, quiz books, adult colouring-in books, and stimulation games for the more active members. This can provide a positive boost to individuals' well being at this time when everyone is finding day to day life difficult. It can be increasingly more difficult for families that are caring for someone with dementia or other illnesses, and the activity packs would provide stimulation and interaction.
We need your help
As we are a Charity we are looking for any help and support so we can make the lives of our members a little better and easier at this difficult time.
Any money raised will go towards activity packs which we can distribute on a regular basis during this pandemic ,and also provide new activity equipment for when members return to the day centre.
