A Play, A Pie and A Pint is an iconic lunchtime theatre experience based at Oran Mor, Glasgow and touring throughout Scotland. Every week, we put on a brand new short play for audiences to enjoy alongside a pie and a pint.
Since our inception in 2004 by our late founder David MacLennan, we have continued to be a champion of new writing in Scotland and have produced almost 600 plays to date.
To mark next year's 20th anniversary since the launch of A Play, A Pie Pint, we would like to produce a book collating 20 of our plays from the past twenty years.
The book will offer an eclectic mix of plays that both A Play, A Pie and A Pint fans will enjoy but also anyone with an interest in playwriting or theatre in general.
As a charity with limited resources, we do not have the money to be able to produce this ourselves so we would greatly appreciate your support to help us celebrate our landmark anniversary in this way.
Our project is part of the 2023 Creative Scotland Crowdmatch competition. Creative Scotland will match individual pledges from the crowd up to £10,000. So if you donate £20 to our cause, your donation will be matched with a £20 pledge from Creative Scotland, effectively doubling your donation!
The money raised will be used to hire a publisher to produce the collection of plays as well as for any relevant printing and distribution costs.
This project offers rewards in return for your donation. Please select a reward below.
