Aim

To get copies of Grace Quantock's book, "Living Well With Chronic Illness" into waiting rooms & surgeries across Wales & the rest of the UK.

Grace Quantock is a psychotherapeutic counsellor and the author of "Living Well with Chronic Illness", published by Orion Spring.

In the book, Grace uses her personal experience of living with chronic illness for over two decades, and from thousands of hours working with disabled and chronically ill clients, to help create a Healing Roadmap that truly fits the reader, their body and their life. The book's aim is to equip the reader with all the information and resources they need on your journey of finding a good life with chronic illness.

Here's Grace with her very cute medical alert and response assistance dog Wilfie.

Grace got in touch with me earlier this year with an idea of getting the paperback edition of her book (published January '26) into all the main hospitals across Wales and England. Grace told me this amounted to 58 hospitals all together.

As a Welsh author who serves as a board member for NHS Wye Valley Trust and has worked in NHS Wales, it was important to Grace that the initial focus was on Wales.

Well, I thought this was a magnificent idea, and I told her so. We then got very excited about the whole thing, and I suggested that we expand this to not just hospitals, but to health centres and GP surgeries too.

One of the many, many great things about Grace is that she is incredibly organised, and in no time at all a spreadsheet with addresses and contact names was sent to me!

So, we have a plan. We have the contacts.

Now what we need is your help.

Our initial aim is to raise £1,100. The paperback's going to be £10.99, so those of you with a penchant for maths will have worked out that this would cover 100 books.

Raising this amount will get the book into all the main hospitals across Wales, England, Scotland and Northern Ireland. It'll also mean a copy can go to every library in Wales that doesn't currently have it.

If we exceed this amount, we can then start sending them to health centres too. But let's not get carried away!

It would be incredible if you could help in any way, so any donations would be very welcome indeed. And if you can't do this, sharing this Crowdfunder with people you know or people who may be able to help would be brilliant.

The Crowdfunder is going on for 12 weeks, to give it the very best chance to succeed.

Thanks so much for taking the time to read all this.
