We are raising money to fund our Stories into Schools Campaign for 2026!
Last year, thanks to your support, and the help of The Elmley Foundation, we were able to launch our Stories into Schools Programme. This year we want to go bigger and better! In fact, as 2026 is the National Year of Reading, we'd like to GO ALL IN! Our aim is to provide an author visit for years 1-6 in both our primary schools and to provide an author visit for years 7 to 11 at The Bewdley School at no cost to the school.
When children meet an author, it not only allows them to meet someone who has overcome challenges to achieve their dream, but to delve more deeply into the writing process. Children get to see that no one writes a perfect story first time around and that perseverance is key to success. Meeting an author brings their stories to life, making it real and exciting. It sparks creativity and inspires a love of reading, helping to build a lifelong connection to stories.
With your support, Step into Stories with Bewdley Festival will provide our children and young people with the inspiration to share their voices, their stories with the world. Who knows...you could help find the next great children's author...
This year, I am planning to Go All In and read for a full 24 hours! From 8am on March 31st to 8am on April 1st, I will be reading in one form or another! You can follow my challenge on our Instagram and Facebook pages. It would be amazing if you could support us by donating to this amazing cause, but if you can't make a monetary donation, you can support me by cheering me on or even reading along with me! I'd love to hear from you and find out what you're reading too. I look forward to seeing you all at our Step into Stories Festival on April 25th!
