Yes East Ayrshire Crowdfunder 2019
We did it
On 28th November 2019 we successfully raised £270 with 10 supporters in 35 days

Our aim : to ensure that the Scottish Independence campaign continues to have a presence on the high street in East Ayrshire.

Since 2017, Yes East Ayrshire have been maintaining a presence on the high street, with our premises at 31C Titchfield Street, Kilmarnock, KA1 1QW. In that time, we have achieved a great deal. We have organized speaking events, film shows, and quizzes, to inform, entertain, and spread the word. Visitors to the hub can ask questions, collect campaign materials to distribute further afield, and purchase a wide range of merchandise, much of it locally-made.

The premises are also used for evening and weekend events; our 2019 programme is in full swing, with more to come over the next few months.

We also regularly support events organized by other pro-independence groups, such as the very successful series of All Under One Banner marches and rallies, which culminated in the massive display of enthusiasm in Edinburgh on 5th October.

Earlier this year, we participated in the Love Kilmarnock - Shop Local campaign, and have officially registered as a Refill Station to reduce the use of plastic water bottles. We've established a presence on LinkedIn, Yell, and Trip Advisor, as we underline that Independence Is Normal; our social media presence continues to expand.

With another referendum an increasing possibility, we want to be well-prepared, ready to go no matter how short the notice. With this in mind, we aim to extend our reach into the community, with street stalls and other events based in our HQ, as well as keeping up our day-to-day campaigning.

As a group, we are entirely funded by donations; the hub is staffed by volunteers. With your generosity, we can keep up our current activities, and augment them as necessary.
