Aim

We may not be together at Wembley to watch Salford in the Papa John's Trophy Final, but together we can raise vital funds for our community.

We may not be together at Wembley to watch the Ammies take on Portsmouth FC in the Papa John's Trophy Final, but together we can raise vital funds for our local community.

Salford City Football Club have launched the We Are Salford campaign and teamed up with four amazing charities: Mind in Salford, Emmaus, Kidscan and Foundation 92!

The club wanted to provide fans with the opportunity to receive a keepsake for our second ever trip to Wembley whilst raising vital funds for our local community.

All profits raised will go directly to these four fantastic charities:

Mind in Salford:

Mind in Salford is an independent, user focused charity providing vital services to make a positive difference to the wellbeing and mental health of local people.

We represent the voice of Salford in campaigning to dispel stigma and influence political, social and cultural change around mental health.

Above all, we put individuals first and are deeply committed to helping people struggling with their mental health get both support and respect.

Emmaus:

Emmaus Salford is a charity that supports people who have experienced homelessness and social exclusion. Emmaus supports formerly homeless people by providing them with a stable home, meaningful work, training and individual support for as long as they need it.

Emmaus Salford is one of 29 Emmaus communities across the country, supporting more than 850 formerly homeless people in the UK. Research shows that for every £1 invested in an Emmaus community, there is an £11 return, with savings to the benefits bill, health services and a reduction in crime reoffending.

In addition to a residential community which is home to 24 formerly homeless people, Emmaus Salford also supports people who are street homeless. The charity currently has four self-contained ‘pods’ which provide people with a warm and safe place to stay on a temporary basis. Emmaus Salford wants to increase this support and is now raising funds to purchase and install up to eight new pods to help even more people make the transition from homelessness to homed.

The pods are designed so that people who are sleeping rough can enjoy a comfortable night’s sleep and access further support from outreach workers. This service compliments Emmaus Salford’s residential community and when rooms become available, these are offered to people accessing the pods.

Your support here today will help Emmaus Salford provide a better future for those unfortunate enough to find themselves homeless.

Kidscan:

Sadly between 2-3 out of every 10 children in Britain diagnosed with cancer will not survive to adulthood. Kidscan wants to change this number to zero by using your donations to fund research dedicated to childhood cancer.

Kidscan are also launching their Step For Science campaign to walk 10,000 steps a day between March 22nd and 31st to help raise £10,000 for the charity.

This money can help us to fund five research projects all dedicated to childhood cancer.

Foundation 92:

Foundation 92 is an independent Charity that focuses on supporting people to improve their lives through sport!

It has an emphasis on positive physical and mental wellbeing, and supporting people with a disability, people who are experiencing homelessness, or young people who have, or may be at risk of, committing offences.

The money raised from this fundraiser will be going to Foundation 92’s campaign to provide disadvantaged children in Salford with education tools such as laptops.

So please back We Are Salford, and back your community today! Your support really will make a life-changing difference to the lives of thousands people in our community.
