Waste Not Want Not Battersea need urgent help to continue saving food from waste and bringing it to those who need it most!
Our Story Thus Far
First launched in 2017, Waste Not Want Not Battersea have operated ever since with two goals: reducing food waste and food poverty in South London by redistributing healthy, perfectly safe, high-quality unwanted food from suppliers at New Covent Garden Market and other local businesses to the people who need it most. Working with youth clubs, homeless kitchens and schools, as well as running regular food distribution sessions at our Battersea premises, we've saved hundreds of tons of food from waste and fed thousands of people and communities in need.

Fighting for a Climate Friendly Attitude Towards Food
As part of our commitment to create a world without waste, we're close to launching a pilot community composting project in 2023! We want to supply schools and community centres in the area with hot composters and training sessions on using them to educate young and old on the environmental benefits and ease of composting.
