Urban Roots are raising funds to set up a Community Garden Task Force to create more growing spaces to benefit people and nature in Glasgow.
Over the last 10 years we have brought local people together to transform many greenspaces across the Southside of Glasgow and have helped to change lives in the process.
Every week we get requests from community groups, schools and nurseries across the city asking for help to create food growing spaces and nature friendly gardens. We are fundraising to set up the Community Task Force to be able to respond to these requests.
Your support will allow us to employ an experienced community gardener to lead and train a volunteer group. This work will help build volunteer skills and confidence as well as building great gardens.
We want to make more of Glasgow’s greenspaces better for people and wildlife!
By supporting our Community Task Force you'll help us to
- create at least 10 new growing spaces
- provide training for 20 people
- create appealing greenspaces to be enjoyed by all
Please help us reach our target!
