Aim

We’re asking for support, to get our brewery up and running as quickly as possible and back on track with our plans for growth this year.

(Cymraeg Isod)

Bragdy Twt Lol, also known as The Trefforest Brewery has been badly hit by the unprecedented flooding in South Wales on the morning of Sunday the 16th of February 2020.

We were hoping for big new developments this year, in our fifth year of operation, but this has been scuppered by the devastation delivered by the river Taf to our business as well as other businesses and homes in the area.

It is with sadness I am forced to suspend the brewing of new stock for the foreseeable future as it could well take weeks to clean, repair and replace all the equipment and stock in the brewery.

To give you an idea of the damage:

  • Hops worth over £2,000, soiled.
  • A pallet of malt £500 and yeast £200.
  • About £500 of various pump clips and beer boxes £500.
  • Bottles of beer smashed and solied - £2,000.
  • Four pumps worth around £300 each were totally submerged. £1,200
  • Printer, digibox to screen the rugby, various electrical equipment at least £500.
  • Reference materials, books, stationary, store of beer mats, furniture £1,000.
  • Plumbling, electrics, heating, 3 brewery chillers, fridge, who knows - £1,000 - £3,000.
  • Steam pressure cleaner - £2,000

So at least £10,000 worth of damage from initial look at the brewery.

I’m hopeful insurance will go a long way to support me, but it will take time and undoubtedly it won’t cover everything.

There’s also the challenge of cleaning up the brewery, the weeks of impact to our ability to brew and knock on effects, whilst still covering the rent and usual bills.

We’re asking for support, to get our brewery up and running as quickly as possible and to springboard us ahead with our plans for growth this year.

Cymraeg

Mae Bragdy Twt Lol, a elwir hefyd yn Bragdy Trefforest wedi cael ei daro’n wael gan y llifogydd digynsail yn Ne Cymru fore Sul yr 16eg o Chwefror 2020.

Roeddem yn gobeithio am ddatblygiadau newydd mawr eleni, yn ein pumed flwyddyn o weithredu, ond mae hyn wedi ei chwalu gan y dinistr a gyflwynwyd gan yr afon Taf i'n busnes yn ogystal â busnesau a chartrefi eraill yn yr ardal.

Gyda thristwch, gorfodir fi i atal bragu stoc newydd hyd y gellir rhagweld gan y gallai gymryd wythnosau i lanhau, atgyweirio a newid yr holl offer a stoc yn y bragdy.

I roi syniad i chi o'r difrod:

• Hopys gwerth dros £2,000, wedi'u baeddu.

• Paled o heiddfrag £500 a burum £200.

• Tua £500 o wahanol glipiau pwmp a blychau cwrw £500.

• Poteli o gwrw wedi'u malu a'u toddi - £2,000.

• Cafodd pedwar pwmp gwerth tua £300 yr un eu boddi'n llwyr £1,200

• Argraffydd, digibox i sgrinio'r rygbi, amrywiol offer trydanol o leiaf £500.

• Deunyddiau cyfeirio, llyfrau, deunydd ysgrifennu, storfa matiau cwrw, dodrefn £1,000.

• Plymio, trydan, gwresogi, 3 oerydd bragdy, oergell, pwy a ŵyr? - £1,000 - £3,000

Golchwr stêm gwasgedd uchel - £2,000

Felly gwerth o leiaf £10,000 o ddifrod o'r edrychiad cychwynnol ar y bragdy.

Rwy'n obeithiol y bydd yswiriant yn mynd yn bell i'm cefnogi, ond bydd yn cymryd amser ac yn ddi-os nid yw'n cynnwys popeth.

Mae yna her hefyd o lanhau'r bragdy, yr wythnosau o effaith i'n gallu i fragu a sgil-effeithiau, wrth barhau i dalu'r rhent a'r biliau arferol.

Rydym yn gofyn am gefnogaeth, i gael ein bragdy ar waith cyn gynted â phosibl ac i roi hwb i'n cynlluniau twf eleni.
