This project is a narrative short film about a young man (early 20’s) in the 1960’s facing the challenges of masculinity during this period.
What is Our Story?
Jude seems like an average young man in his early 20’s but a lot more is happening under the surface. One evening when he returns home with his girlfriend Lucy, they find his mother has fallen victim to his drunken father’s abuse once again and Jude’s built up emotions are bound to explode. With the support of a local unsung hero named Bill he must decide what kind of man he wants to become.
Where Will Your Money go?
Any money donated will go towards ensuring our film is produced to the highest standard possible. Contributions will be used to help pay for actors, locations, props, equipment, feeding our crew and production design aspects to make our film feel as of the period (1960's) as possible. As well as this one of our main aims is to source everything locally from actors living in Cornwall, to catering companies and using locations in the area to allow us to support and promote businesses in our community as much as possible.
We will also be using Contributions to help fund a film festival run next summer after the production process is complete. not only does this allow us to publicise our film as much as possible it allows us to promote the companies and charities we are planning and in talks with to be in association with.
