We are fundraising to repair, replace and improve our popular 7ft Spine and Bowl area as part of our 'Big Project' for 2019. The full ramp build is expected to cost around £20,000 to complete. This initial fundraiser is to help kick off the build and help us get things started — If we can raise the first £1250, Crowdfunder will match 50% (£2500!) of our project total! We have just 5 weeks!
We are both an outdoor and wooden skatepark, so our ramps can get really exposed to the elements, especially being so close to the sea. This section of the park has been a favourite amongst regulars over the years, but is now in much need of repair and improvements to it's design and layout. The new section will be designed by local riders, for local riders and an all-inclusive project. Please support our charity, our riders and the local community by giving what you can! #supportyourlocalskatepark
A little about us —
The Front Skatepark is an outdoor wooden skatepark in Weymouth, situated right opposite the seafront and open all year round.
We are a registered charity and have been running since 2001. We are a not-for-profit skatepark with everything going back into helping repair and improve the park and facilities for the riders.
We have a huge range of ramps, from beginner to extreme, with something for every level of ability. We have our own Skate Shop and Snack Bar, and host regular competitive and non-competitive events throughout the year. There is a great welcoming and family-like community within The Front Skatepark, providing an invaluable safe, supportive, and positive space for local youth in the area.
