Aim
Engage a solicitor for our rent review. Extend & improve the kitchen area & create a more useable (Covid in mind) space for the 1st floor.
Over the last (almost!) decade Hector, Matt & Jen have worked hard alongside our dedicated team of chefs & front of house staff to make The Crooked Well a much loved neighbourhood Gastropub for Camberwell.
We have been humbled by the support we’ve received from the local community during Lockdown, and the continued support as restrictions have been loosened. To keep going and hopefully one day again, thrive we need your additional support.
Any funding we secure will be used to:
- Upgrading fridges in the Kitchen & Bar area
- Buy a glasswasher for 1st floor bar
- Replace Outside furniture
- Buy Outdoor heaters
- Refurbish tables and chairs on the ground floor & buy tables for the 1st floor
- Explore taking on the area behind the Crooked well for additional outside seating
- Replace our phone system to capture all booking enquiries
- Look at potentially getting screens in place between tables to increase customer & staff safety
- One thing that we must turn our attention to is taking on a solicitor to represent us for our upcoming rent review in January 2021. We have been charged full rent throughout the whole of Lockdown, even during total closure, and our landlord has indicated a further increase in rent early next year. A fair rent will be crucial to the survival of The Crooked Well.
