We urgently need your help to turn the heat down!
After months of hard work, on a shoe string budget, setting up this community focused venue at Pear Mill in Stockport, we are now battling rising temperatures due to new neighbours below in the form of a hot yoga studio - and we mean hot! They offer classes daily at 26 degrees and several times a week perform 'Inferno Pilates' at a sweltering 40 degrees!!
Meanwhile upstairs we're slowly melting - add to that the extra heat we generate with a full audience and 30 stage lights on full pelt during a show, and suddenly we're seeing ambient temperatures in excess of 32 degrees. Currently we're averaging day to day temps of 27 degrees and it's unbearable. The humidity is also causing a damp atmosphere which is no good at all for our costumes and it's adversely affecting our potential rental income as people simply don't return due to the heat. Our inability to become self sufficient could render this project dead in the water.
I have already funded the installation of 2 air conditioning units but we require at least 1 more - ideally 2 - to have any major effect - but the safe has run dry so we desperately need your help.
It only needs 100 beautifully generous people to donate £10 for us to hit target so please give what you can - every pound will help! If you can afford more, we have some great rewards up for offer - some are a great legacy so check it out now and thanks in advance for any help you can give, we truly are very grateful! 8)
