Aim

We would like to bring The Life of Reilly play to the screen. Gritty, dark, humorous and realistic look at autism family dynamics.

The Life of Reilly is a play about autism. A sell out play at the Northern Stage Newcastle which returns in March 2018 with incredible reviews from parents, teachers, professionals, autistic people and the general public.   It is heartwarming yet heartbreaking. It's honest and humorous but most importantly it's based on real life events relayed by families of autistic people.

Written by Alison Stanley who has an autistic son herself, the play looks at family dynamics, what happens behind closed doors.  Marriage problems, isolation, exclusion, frustration, denial, acceptance and love.

Some may recognise parts of the play from the Life of Reilly blog which is currently being discussed worldwide after a social media  post from Reilly's father recently hit the headlines.

We (Alphabetically Autistic) seek funding to produce a 10 minute high quality film pilot to aid us making a full length film for TV.  The film will see character Reilly grow and will focus on the many fights that special needs parents face daily just for the right education, support, understanding and independence for their child.

The Life of Reilly film will be funny, dark and educational. It will promote inclusion and diversity.  Autistic actors and consultants will play a great part in ensuring this film will be an accurate portrayal of all things autistic.

WE DID IT, THE FILM IS IN POST PRODUCTION AND THE TRAILER HAS LANDED.

Can you help us achieve our stretch target to help us on our way with the feature film?
