Aim
To sprinkle a bit of Christmas Magic on our local communities with what can only be described as an awful year for everyone.
Following what can only be described as an absolutely awful year, Sense of Occasion employee Helen Windross came up with a truly magical idea.
We teamed up with LHA Car and Commercial and came up with plans as to how we can bring it all to life.
Our vision is to bring a little bit of Christmas magic to our local communities by lighting up and decorating a vehicle, and having Santa and his Elves drive around Beeston, Middleton and Rothwell, dropping of gifts as we go to houses who are lit up for Christmas.
Not only do we want to help make the Christmas Magic real for Children this year, but people who want to make a donation for our efforts can do. Funds will be split equally between: Rothwell & District Live at Home, South Leeds Live at Home and Middleton Elderly Aid to help contribute towards the fabulous work that they do for the elderly members of our community, by supporting them, offering a befriending service to those who are lonely, and all of the activities they organise. None of them have been able to fundraise as normal this year and some of them really struggling so this is our way of giving something to them.
We will be in the following areas on these dates.
Beeston 15th December 2020. 4.30pm onwards
Middleton 16th December 2020. 4.30pm onwards
Rothwell 17th December 2020. 4.30pm onwards.
To encourage a bit of community spirit and to help raise as much as possible, we will guarantee one appearance on each day for the street who raises the most to our causes. Upload your donation as one collective amount with your street name to enter!
You can help us by arranging to drop off prepackaged sweets, chocolates and selection boxes so we have gifts to give. Drop off points either Sense of Occasion on Old Lane Beeston, or LHA Car and Commercial, Pelican Works Rothwell.
You can also make a donation to this page, or simply sharing what we are doing to help.
We will not be posting a route as to not cause gatherings. We will get round as many places as we can however we cannot guarantee that we will make it into your street. If we do come into your street please remain in your gardens. We want to sprinkle some magic, in the safest way possible.
