Loudwater is a non-judgement open access community arts space based in beautiful Ludlow, Shropshire. After suffering a flood in 2019 the Studio was rebuilt and reshaped to create the amazing space we have today, but unfortunately, 3 months after re-opening we were closed once again due to COVID through most of 2020.
Loudwater has suffered a 4 year step back in time, creativity has been the saving grace for many people during lockdowns and we see the positive impact that engaging in these activities in the company of others has on people’s day to day lives. The people of Ludlow have told us we are a great community asset that should not be lost but we need your support to help that happen whilst we get on with the important business of using creativity for good and bringing positivity to people’s lives.
If successful, funding would be used to help sustain Loudwater through this difficult period, whilst we focus on the important business of engaging the whole community in creative arts including the delivery of group activities for disabled adults; and home educated children; helping to sustain community sewing and social crafting groups as well as the provision of ceramic and creative memberships; ceramic drop-in sessions; pottery painting and enamelling whilst supporting other creatives to provide community workshops in their specialist areas.
