Aim

Christmas can be a difficult time for care leavers; we want to give Leeds care leavers a magical day to remember for all the right reasons.

The Care Leavers' Council has set the Director of Children and Family Services in Leeds (Steve Walker) three challenges to help raise money for this year's Leeds Christmas Dinner for Care Leavers.

The Challenges!

Challenge 1; The Yorkshire Three Peaks

The Yorkshire Three Peaks takes on Pen-y-Ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough. The total walking distance is 39.2km (24.5 miles) with over 1,000 meters of climbing in under 12 hours. Steve and a few Children and Families colleagues have decided to see how quickly they can complete them all.  We want to raise a target of £500 to put Steve through this challenge.

Challenge 2; The Leeds Abseil

Steve has agreed that he will abseil down a building in Leeds. After much persuasion he has agreed that this will not be a bungalow! Details of where we have selected for Steve will be revealed if and when we reach our target of £1000.

Challenge 3; Skydiving

For a man known to get a nose bleed by just going upstairs on a bus, jumping out of a plane at 15,000 feet will be Steve's greatest challenge! Help us get to our target of £3000 for the pleasure of seeing Steve thrown out of an aeroplane.
