Fighting fund: Help us elect Ella Walding, Green Party parliamentary candidate for Woking

We need your support to help us field and campaign for a Green Party parliamentary candidate in Woking.

Please donate whatever you can spare to help make our country greener and fairer.

Our candidate is Ella Walding,  aged 28, a senior service designer who has lived in Woking all her life. 

“I am standing because I believe radical change is needed if we are to protect the Earth and the people and other species that live on it.

I can no longer tolerate the lip service paid to the climate emergency by those in power and the levels of inequality our politicians are imposing. 

We need to disrupt the system and make something better and bolder, where people are happy and cared for and where planet-friendly choices are at the centre of everything we do.

I want the people of Woking to have the chance to vote Green as we are the only party with a radical enough agenda to deliver this change.”

Running elections is costly, and as a small party with ethical principles we don't have ultra-wealthy individuals and dodgy corporate donors with deep pockets to rely on. We depend entirely on donations from ordinary people - and that's where you come in...

In the next month, we're aiming to raise £1500. This will help us:

• Cover the cost of deposits for our candidate (£500)
• Pay for campaign leaflets
• Pay to promote our candidate on social media - a key arena in any election now  

Whatever help you can give us, large or small, we will use it to put the climate emergency at the top of the agenda for this election, as well as the urgent need for a People's Vote on Brexit - the only sensible way forward from the mess we're in, where The Green party will be strongly campaigning for remain.

Any funds not spent on this campaign will be used for future actions and campaigns in the constituency.

We are required to run permissibility checks on donations over £500. These will be completed as pledges are made. For the same reason, we cannot accept anonymous donations over £500. Please email [email protected] with your name and address if you wish to make a donation of more than £500. 

Your details will appear in our election returns if valued over £500, and if you donate over £7500 your identity will appear on the Electoral Commission website.

If you make multiple donations to us, they may be aggregated for our reporting purposes.
