The next few weeks are going to be extremely challenging for a lot of the population.  The food and drink industry is going to be hard hit, and those that make their living through 'pop-up' events are going to be devastated by likely impending pub, venue and event closures.

Our three pubs all have vendors booked in for the coming days, weeks and months, and dates for the foreseeable are almost certainly going to be cancelled.

We owe a lot to our street food pals, they add so much to our businesses when they trade here.   

Even without pubs closing, the almost guaranteed drop in footfall is going to push street food to the limits, and we simply can't stand by and watch that happen without trying to help.

Today we've set up this page to allow people to 'prepay' for meals from some of our most regular traders once this crisis has passed.

We obviously don't have any timescale for closures, but as soon as we know what that might look like we will announce a series of pop events by each trader at each venue, hopefully through July and August.

Even this simple fundraiser has taken a lot of deliberating over, and we're aware that there are a lot more vendors out there, and we have not missed anyone intentionally.  We have looked at our bookings coming up and at our regular pitches and tried to find a way not to overcomplicate things.

We'd also encourage other venues to take this up with their own regular traders.

As well as being able to buy meal and drink deals there's also a general pot, which, if anyone just wants to throw in a few quid and not buy a meal, we'll divide equally.

We're very conscious that this is a sensitive issue for everyone involved, and we're  sure no one wants to feel like they're asking for charity, however, we're entering very difficult times, so we (Mick, Simon & Jo) are asking instead.
