on 9th and 10th Sept 2017 to reopen the original studio control room space with recording equipment in for visitors to see
The idea is to rebuild temporarily for open days on the 9th and 10th of September 2017 with as many original pieces of studio control room equipment as possible and to decorate the room as near to original finishes as possible- the actual room that was the control and mixing room at Strawberry Studios Stockport- the room where 10CC recorded most of their hits, where Joy Division recorded Unknown Pleasures, where Martin Hannett sat in residence on so many Manchester and Factory recordings. This is a free event as part of the Heritage Open Days but in order to build the control room into an interesting exhibit it needs a weeks work and a lot of materials and transport hence we need to raise funds
This project successfully funded on 29th August 2017
