WATCH: How Newquay AFC fought back through Crowdfunder

Like all grassroots clubs, Newquay AFC was hit hard by Covid-19.
The stadium was already in a poor state and they were running out of money so the Peppermints turned to Crowdfunder, rallying their community around a project to refurbish their facilities at Mount Wise Stadium.
The effort caught the eye of Sport England, who work with us to channel extra funding into things that improve the sustainability of the grassroots game. Their £4,000 pledge was quickly followed by a £250 contribution from Cornwall Council, bringing the final total to more than £10,000.
