Match funding, TikToks and more: what we’ve shipped this month

July 2026

We ship updates to Crowdfunder regularly, and most of them don’t come with a fanfare. Here’s a quick roundup of what’s landed recently.

  1. New ways to show off your project on your project page
  2. Frictionless password setup
  3. Updated ways to liven up your story

TikToks and YouTube Shorts on your project page

If you’ve already got a video on TikTok or YouTube Shorts that captures exactly what your project is about, you can now add it directly to your project page. No re-uploading, no downloading and re-hosting elsewhere, just paste the link and it appears. Most people tell their story on social first anyway. Now your project page can keep up.

Live password validation

Small but satisfying. When you’re setting or changing your password, the rules now tick off in real time as you type, so you know before you hit submit whether you’re good to go. One less reason to end up stuck at the login screen.

Emojis in projects, rewards and updates

You can now use emojis in your project description, reward tiers and campaign updates. It’s a small thing, but your project page is yours, and if a 🎉 or a 🌱 fits the story you’re telling, it should be there.

Coming soon

We’re working on some bigger things that we’ll be sharing in August — including a new project owner dashboard built to give you a much clearer picture of how your campaign is performing and what to do next.
