Launch Notes Q1 2025: Giving you control over your payouts

Here at Crowdfunder we’ve hit the ground running in 2025! Over the last few months, we’ve rolled out a series of updates to the Crowdfunder platform to help project owners and supporters have an even smoother, more impactful experience. Here’s a quick roundup of what’s new and improved so far this year.

Introducing Flexible Payouts for Project Owners

Managing your funds is now more straightforward and adaptable. With our revamped payouts system, you have greater control over when and how you receive the money pledged to your project.

What’s New:

Payout Preferences:

You now have the option to receive payouts on a weekly or monthly basis, instead of waiting until your project ends or hitting a specific funding milestone. This means:

• You can start putting pledges to work while your campaign is still live.
• Ongoing projects (like community initiatives or long-term campaigns) can benefit from regular cash flow.

Dashboard Management

You’re in control. From your project dashboard, you can now:

• View upcoming payout dates and eligible amounts.
• Change your payout frequency.
• Pause payouts if needed.
• Track your payout history with more transparency.

What You Need to Be Eligible

To receive payouts, make sure:

• Your bank details and identity verification are complete in your project settings.
• You’ve reached the minimum funding requirement (if applicable for your funding type).
• Your project is not under review or in breach of terms.

Important notes

If you have a project with +Extra funding, partner pledges are processed differently from money raised from the crowd. These payments may be delayed.

If you’re creating a project for a charity via the Charity Hub, to change the frequency you must set this at the Charity Profile level. When viewing the payouts tab on a charity project, there is a link to the Charity Profile where payout frequency can be set.
