Aim

A small-batched Scottish gin passionately created by us - Joe and Emma. We are inspired by our love of London Dry Gin, and Scotland!

Our story so far

Our passion for gin started over five years ago. We've always adored gin and have been keen to learn more in order to fully appreciate it.  Joe was born and raised in Lancashire and developed a love for gin whilst working behind numerous bars whilst at university. He introduced gin-virgin me (Emma) to gin and I fell in love with it instantly. The endless combinations of flavors was intoxicating and exciting! 

We've fantasied for many years about creating our own unique gins after sampling the many different infused gins out there and believing that we have something unique and daring to offer. After much encouragement from friends and family, we embarked on our gin creating journey in September 2018. We were lucky enough to find a master distiller who shares our passion for fresh local ingredients, exciting new flavours and most of all GIN!

We have been working really closely with him up in Scotland as we wanted to create all our gin recipes ourselves, from scratch, knowing exactly what each and every ingredients brings to the mix and why! Creating gins that we would actually want to drink time and time again has been our focus. After spending many hours experimenting with flavours, educating ourselves and testing copious amounts of gins, Springmount Gin was born! 

The Flavours

We adore London Dry gin and were keen to make one. Our original idea was to create one gin using premium ingredients and that would be completely unique compared to what is already out there. After many hours of experiments and our innate ability to effortlessly combine botanical's to an amazing effect. We were spoilt for choice on which one to release first. We left the distillery with five new types of gin to be tasted.

We were blown away by the overwhelming success of our first gin tasting focus group. Surprisingly our tasters couldn't choose one hard favorite as they loved all our gins as much as we did! We were encouraged to release three different gins at once! We are proud that each one of our gins offers its own array of distinct flavours:

Lavender and Lemongrass Gin

The soothing and comforting aroma of our Lavender and Lemongrass gin is unmistakable!  This gin features a total of nine botanicals. We have balanced the lavender with citrus flavours to ensure that the gin doesn't taste too floral or "soapy" and has an aftertaste that will leaving you wanting more. This gin is great neat or served with a premium Mediterranean tonic. 

Strawberry and Raspberry Gin

The scent of summer comes streaming out of a bottle of our Strawberry and Raspberry gin! This gin features a total of nine botanicals carefully combined to create a sweet and fruity taste. The gin is sweet, smooth and refreshing. Perfect served with a premium Mediterranean tonic and a slice of strawberry!

Lime and Mint Gin

The fresh and zingy fragrance of our Lime and Mint gin is energetic and energizing! This gin features a total of eight botanicals carefully combined to create a light and fresh tasting gin. The mint infuses the gin with a subtle flavor that can still be tasted in the mouth after each sip. Perfect served with a premium Indian tonic  and a slice of lime! 

Why Scotland

We adore Scotland! Joe fell in love with Scotland about ten years ago after his first visit. He adored the lush greenery and how fresh all the produce was. He whisked me away to Scotland the first chance he got and I was also hooked. After sampling the local produce we knew we had to include some in our gin! We are proud to ONLY use water in our gin that flows from natural springs in the Scottish Mountains. It is also one of the purest waters in the world. 

The Rewards

We've added our reward options over on the right which is available to those over 18 in the UK. All our prices include postage and packaging. 

All the money raised will go into producing our first batch (bottles, labels, corks, alcohol duty, distillation, transport, storage and botanicals) for all three of our gins! This is a true passion of ours and we are excited, enthusiastic and determined to make it a success. Your support would really mean the world to us and we can't wait to share our gin with you!
