The Prince Albert is part of a national initiative launched by the Music Venue Trust to prevent the closure of hundreds of independent music venues.
Miles and Lotte run the Prince Albert bringing some the best live music to Rodborough, just outside Stroud in our fairly small, well formed and professional venue, that also happens to be a pub. Ranging from solo folk artists to big brass bands, via punk, classical and all sorts of young local talent.
We are asking both those that know the pub and venue and have had great nights here to support us, as well as other music fans and kind hearted folk.
We are an important part of the UK's music venue scene that brings live music to the public. Without these smaller venues many people would not get the chance to experience the excitement and thrill of witnessing artists properly up close. Without us, many artists, performers would not get that chance to first perform and get their first taste of an audience. Also very much of our ethos is to make music accessable.
Our venue, like many others faces closure. Without help while we are closed we are struggling.
Your donations will be used to our fighting fund to help ensure we can survive through the complusory closure due to the Coronavirus.
We are asking various musicians to help us with this - please get in contact if you want to help promote this plight.
If we hit our target, and we can prevent the closure of our venue, everything above the amount we need will be donated to the Music Venue Trust GMV Crisis Fund to protect other venues just like ours, right across the country.
