'Lucile' has given me permission to share her story and see if we can help keep her in her accommodation. Lucile is a kind and caring lady who has had a lot of struggles in her life, including abuses and a car accident which led to a brain injury. She has been in lots of dangerous situations and has taken some amazing steps to overcome many struggles including addiction.
She has a lot of housing debts, but a wonderful support worker in the hostel she is in has negotiated to get them reduced. At neurotriage we have managed to get an assessment completed with Lucile which shows the extent of her struggles and she is soon to be accommodated in supported housing, now that we have finally got a social worker on board to help.
Unfortunately she is at great risk of losing the accommodation she is in at the moment because of her debts. The housing provider has agreed to let her stay until better supported housing can be found, as long as the reduced payment is made.
Can you please give something to help this wonderful lady stay in safe accommodation, rather then be evicted and risk ending up on the streets again?
please note, if we exceed the amount needed, the remainder will be donated to a youth homelessness charity.
