Chapel Arts Centre in Bath is part of a national initiative launched by Music Venue Trust to help prevent the closure of hundreds of independent music venues.

Our venue faces closure because our insurance policy doesn't cover us for this government ordered shutdown and we currently have no income - just outgoings. We are a "not for profit" organisation (but receive no external grant funding), and have limited resources to carry us through. There is almost nothing left in our account - but of course the rent, and other costs still need to be paid. We also need to pay our free lance staff to retain them as they are not receiving any income - as there are no shows - but we are unable to pay them.

Your donations will be used to… pay ongoing bills - rent, insurance, and other contracted items plus wages not covered by the government scheme, and our free lancer's (lighting and sound) wages.

If we hit our target, and we can prevent the closure of our venue, everything above the amount we need will be donated to the Music Venue Trust GMV Crisis Fund to protect other venues just like ours, right across the country.

Let's make '#SaveOurVenues - Chapel Arts Centre - Bath' happen
